Hi Guys,
It looks like my host has too many restrictions on data sockets ect.. so i am finding it impossible to run my OnArcade script.
I am looking at surfspeedy.com, does anyone have any experience with them or can anyone suggest a good onarcade host with decent transfer allowance??
onArcade is hosted by
http://www.statichost.co.uk/ at the moment and they are very good (I have had only very few problems with them)
You could also try DreamHost.com (they are
very cheap, there are some discount codes that you can use to get free domain and 20 GB Disk, 1 TB Transfer for... I am not sure if it was $7 or $14 per
year). I have 2 sites hosted with them
http://www.waazoo.com and
http://www.internetgameszone.com , there is also test site of v1.1 on their server -
http://www.waazoo.com/test11 . I have also never had any problems with them.
Ok i just got a crazy deal with dreamhost 9.95 p/m with no setup fee for their massive code monster package!!!

Thanks hans
Oh i used promo code: maximum97
I use site5.com! They are very good and offer 24/7 support and are cheap!
You should check them out!
I won't recommend hostingdepartment.net because i had a lot of problems with them (mainly server always down

)
I also won't recommend dreamhost (unless it's for domain buying) because there are seriously overselling and they will kick you when you come close to bandwidth limits.
Just my 2c!

OK, let me know if you have any problems with installing.

Maybe yes, but it isn't very easy to use 1 TB

Ok, in the end i went with surfspeedy after major problems with dreamhosts signup system (extreamly slow and i crashed!!! ughhh... its just not my day!)
I was speaking to one of their techs and they seem really helpful so i can only hope! and at only $9.99 for 100 GB of space and 1500 GB of bandwith you cant grumble... I'm moving one domain over to see how it goes then might just add on the rest later! oh hans im i right in saying that you will need to reset the ip address im using, the domain will stay the same!

Yes that's for sure but you don't need to have that much to be kicked out.
Let's face it: what should 1 TB bandwidth cost for real? Maybe $300 to $500 per month if you run a dedicated??
So you can't expect the same quality for such a low amount Dreamhost charges!
So basic rule: you got what you pay for!
I also didn't like their support (very long waiting to get my mails answered).
But, hey if you do a google search for "dreamhost" you'll find positive and negative comments on many different forums so i guess some people like them

I have already done that, but we have had problems with that before (nulling info), so if you have any errors during install then let me know and I will add another licence to your account.

I have to agree with that

will do, my domain is travelling over cyber-space as we speak... normally only takes a few hours with my domain host... I will let you know how i get on and if there is any problems
